There was a large number of people at the hut when I arrived on Saturday morning. There seemed to be two games of what-about going on.
Some people decided to go and look at Rumbling Hole and the remainder were going to do an It's a Cracker / Boxhead exchange.
With the caves booked and the ropes packed we split into 2 teams: Dave & James rigged Boxhead, while Matt, Caiti & I rigged It's a Cracker.
Matt and I arrived at the bottom of the cave just before James & Dave. Caiti, who had always said she would like to do It's a Cracker there & back, decided not to come down the final pitch.
As soon as Dave arrived at the bottom, I started out chased by Matt who was derigging Boxhead. I soon collected the first bag from him. The middle bag was a bit of a mess, it should have only contained one rope but Matt tried (and failed) to stuff two ropes into it. The upper rope should have gone into the top bag but that had been left at the top of the rope rather than at the bottom.
I waited at the bottom of the first rope to sort the bags before heading out of the entertaining tube entrance.
The other team were already on the surface when I arrived.

Team: James, Dave, Matt, Caiti & Dave.
Time: About 2:30

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
