Arriving at the hut at about 8:30, there was little movement, in spite of the clocks having gone back.
Having checked that there was not going to be a dam release and that the weather was neither wet nor windy, we decided to have a look at Goyden Pot.
We eventually had four people for the trip, other trips were planned to Valley Entrance & Heron Pot.
We hung around until about 9:30, to see if anyone else turned up.
After an hours driving the roads were getting narrower and steeper and we did not recognise the route in spite of having done the cave twice before.
It turned out that putting "Scar House Reservoir" into google maps takes you to the wrong end of the reservoir.
It was another hour to get to the right end of the reservoir, where Alan was waiting for us.
Having checked the water level in the reservoir, we found the correct parking place, changed and headed down to the cave.
The plan was to do the figure-of-eight described on the Breamoor website.
This provided a good trip seeing a variety of passages with some squeezes, crawls, climbs & descents; visiting some interesting formations including some amazing cherty nodules.
We got lost a couple of times, but soon noticed and got back on track.
At one point we lost Alan and had to go back to find him (25% attrition would not be good).
