Our original plan to visit Hunt Pot (with permit) was cancelled due to rather wet conditions.
Decided on Lancaster, so after breckie at Bernies, trip to the butchers for pies, and Co op for peas and mash, basically anything to avoid going caving, we headed off.
Fastest ever change at Bull Pot Farm, as is was pissing it down.
Into cave, main shaft was rather drippy to say the least, headed down to bottom of fall pot then up to the high level for a good slide about. Signs of flooding everywhere so we didnt attempt to get to the main streamway as the weather wasnt to good. Headed back up, via the Colonades and the graveyard - very impressive. Then prusiked out using our rope and the one from Manc Uni team to speed things up.
Pints in the Railway at Ribblehead, then back to school for pie and peas.
Pics as ever

Station Inn, come on Finchy get the pub name right at least! This is the pub with one of the best views from a urinal window ever and a nice pint of Timmy Taylors too.
Pies are great especially with a pint in good company.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
