As we fancied a bit of an SRT workout, we decided to drop a rope down the 210 Engine Shaft first. Then we went in via the Climbing Shaft and went down to the bottom of the 210 shaft, after prussiking out of and derigging this we then went back in the climbing shaft to the bottom again before making our way back to surface.
Trip time 2hrs

Do you foot jammers when doing all this srt ascending practise or do you try to make it as difficult as possible?

Hi Ian,
Just to let you into Lee & Keiths secret. They no longer use Stops, Crolls & jammers because of the weight. They are now using prussac knots only ( saves all that weight ) hence the high speed trips. Also just rap the leg around the rope for the descent Cammando style.B)

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
