We had too many people to all do Robinsons so a group of 5 (most of us had been before) went off for a dangle on string in Rowten Pot via the gulley route. A team from Dublin followed us in so Rich struck a deal for them to use our rope and de rig. I started on the Garlic early with a quick nibble of a wild garlic flower while extreme foraging as abseiling down the greasy gulley. We had a nice smooth trip with Martin beautifully rigging our lovely Gleistein 9mm rope down the damper than expected pitches. We then had plenty of tea drinking time before a swift committee meeting and a cracking curry with sides of garlic everything! It took a lot of G@T's later to dilute the garlic, but that's another story.......Those along for Rowten; Emma, Keith, Martin, Rich and Evil Garlic breath Stu.Trip time maybe 4 hours, wasn't really checking the time.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
