Ros kindly gave us a lift up the track to almost within shotgun range of the farm house from where we yomped up onto the moor carrying a large portion of the YSS ropes.  The cave was easier to find than usual being exactly where Phil had left it before Covid (BC).Dave did all the rigging to the bottom, although the rest of us did help with a bit of back seat rigging advice from time to time.  ‘Oooo, I wouldn’t have done it like that’ – that sort of thing.Phil did most of the derigging then we wandered back down to meet Ros who had returned to retrieve us.Team: Dave Chadwick, Phil Hawcroft, Lukasz, Paul M with Ros White on peddles.

I really like that cave :-) Although I do think a nice long passageway at the bottom would be nice.

Get digging. All that water must go somewhere.

Austwick?

Austwick Beck Head with possibility for storm overflow out of Blind Beck Cave.

I've not hard of Blind Beck cave though.

1000 caves to visit, I don't feel a need to make any more, or maybe I'm just a little lazy and digging seems a hard day out to me.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
