Oct 2021
A couple of YSS members were part of a team of 6 that were the 2021 Beardy Tour, after a long drive to near Millau and into The Grand Causses for a weeks caving in the South of France. We started with 2 trips a day and ended with a kiddy trip!
Our trips included;
10/Oct     Aven de la Portaliere.
          Abime du Mas Raynal   (Alum Pot on Steroids)
11/ Oct   Climbed the Pic St. Loup ànd did the Deux Versaux through trip from the top of the Peak almost pitch, crawl and abseil out the other side of the hill, scramble back up and return walk was much longer than the trip!
                L' aven de la Gnnevaux through trip.
12/Oct    canyoning - Canyon du Tapoul
                Via Ferrata de Rousses
13/Oct    Event de Rogues
14/Oct    Grotte de la Clajude
15/Oct    Banquier via Lauzier Entrance.
16/Oct    Aven de la Volpiere to Grotte de la Roquette through trip.
A massive thank you to the whole team for a brilliant week in an area thats generally less well visited by UK cavers.
Lisa Wootton & Stu Weston of the YSS.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
