Vesper's Pot - 29th January 2012

Surprisingly several of the party hadn't been to Vesper's before, so various people took the opportunity to wind them up about how grim it was going to be. Of course they were wrong, for Vesper's is a great little trip.

Today's was very pleasant and might have been "excellent" if it had been a bit warmer on the surface!

Party: Stu, Rich, Emma, Keith, Damian
Time: 3hrs

Yes was a great little Sunday trip, and some very impressive pitches :)
Cheers to Damian for rigging

Glad you enjoyed it; must be the first time I’ve seen Stu and Emma keener to go caving than Damian and Keith ;)

Meant to take a note of the ropes. What did we use? (they were spot on)

13m, 40m, 45m, 50m I think ... there was a bit spare on the 45m and the 50m.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
