Arriving in Kingsdale already ‘in caving gear’ is a good way to start a trip!
We walked up to the entrance with 3 tackle bags and had a look at Turbary Pot entrance as we passed.
We found Swinsto entrance with a lot of water flowing in - at that point we knew this was going to be a wet trip! We started rigging then headed along the Swinsto long crawl, as my knee pad strap had broken, it made the long crawl feel a lot longer!
When we reached the big pitches (split pitch), we found we were going to abseil through the middle of the waterfall, the flow of water was so noisy that Damian used his whistle to signal “rope free”. We carried on through the cave and made our way out via Valley Entrance with very wet, but very clean suits.
We were out for 8pm and was feeling very hungry, so next stop, Ingleton chippy were we got free chips at closing time - yay!

Did you not check the Valley Entrance pitch was rigged before setting off?

No, intentionally. It was rigged a few weeks ago and if it wasn't, I can always free- climb or lassoo the bridge of rock.iball wrote: Did you not check the Valley Entrance pitch was rigged before setting off?
