Terms and conditions of booking

Bookings will not be confirmed until booking form has been completed and returned with terms and conditions and deposit..
The bookings officer must be notified of cancelled/changed bookings at least 14 days before the date of stay. Failure to do so will render the full cost of the booking payable
All guests must sign in upon arrival. This includes day guests. This is required for fire safety.
Payment is normally made for the actual numbers staying. Should actual numbers fall below those confirmed at the time of booking, the deposits will be lost on the unused beds but balance will be payable only on beds used (i.e. unused places will be charged at half rate). In extreme cases, where the number staying is significantly fewer than the amount booked, the club reserves the right to charge up to the full cost of the booking.
A small number of extra guests will be accepted if there is room. These guests must sign in as normal. It is advisable to contact the bookings officer if extra guests are expected as priority is always given to those who have previously booked.
Day guests without a booking will only be accepted where space allows and at the discretion of the bookings officer.. Priority for use of any of the hut’s facilities will be given to overnight guests and those who have made a booking. Note: The hut facilities are not for use by people camping in the field opposite. This campsite is not connected to the YSS and campers who wish to use the hut must contact the bookings officer.
The hut is to be kept and left in a condition appropriate for subsequent guests. Any damages must be paid for and a cleaning levy will be charged if the hut is left in an unacceptable state
50% deposit required to nearest pound (refundable if written notice of cancellation given 14 Days prior to arrival date) – please make cheques payable to “YSS”.
